I’m more than willing to change my life for a right person but not for a vegetable or a goat

Endings are proportionately difficult to the personal investment put into the process. The less of yourself you have put in, the quicker the ending, and the faster moving onto new subjects wholly unconnected to the ending at hand.

One energy-consuming task for a human being is to move through challenging situations with grace. The other is to keep one’s innocence and gain wisdom in leu of distrust and bitterness.

Always seek comfort in your friend’s love. It neither fails nor will it fail you. 

The Yo-Yo

I close my eyes and see your face
Yet you escape
Into the horizon or somewhere else 
While I’m next to you unseen by your steady gaze

You write in song if inspired by my lyrics 

And you come and go as you freely please 

You touch in sweetness and in raw passion

Yes, you come and you go with the mood’s flow

You dance to a song I cannot hear

You guard yourself for some reason 

While I grasp in darkness to plug into you

To hold you, to feel you, to include all of you

And I open my doors and invite you to enter

You gently hover at the threshold and question 

Something beyond my perception 

Leaving me in obscurity, in confusion of the senses

I slowly walk after a fit of madness

Into the light of the sun and flowers’ fragrance

Connect to the voice that has all the answers

I’m free after all, ready to take off to a far away landing

One Moment

I close my eyes while sitting real still

And life starts to move in pulses and rhythm

And something gets stirred, wanting to burst

And if I pause enough, I am taken over

The silence appears and then it is gone

Yet it leaves its footprint, of the enduring kind

If body gives in and the mind gives up

Nothing exists while all is afire
