little pieces fall to earth
of walls that protected the tiny bird
sit down on warm ground
it will light up the life inside
this little body has to find the right spot
breathe deeply and gently
feel the cavernous current
its only purpose is to throw you in throws
it will calm and feed you in ways new to you
you can know the stillness and clarity, too
it is like a magician has shown you the trick
and you don’t need to know the mechanics of it
you just find that warm corner in the smallest of space
open up all your senses and give in to nothingness
